BETHLEHEM, Sunday, February 12, 2023 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces raided today an elementary school in the village of Al-Khader, to the south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, in an attempt to arrest a student, according to the Ministry of Education.
Bassam Jabr, the Director of Education in Bethlehem, told WAFA that an Israeli army force raided Martyr Saeed Al-Aas Basic School for Boys in the village to arrest a child there, spreading fear among the students.
He said the school’s principal and staff refused to hand over the child to the attacking Israeli force.
Jabr added that the Israeli occupation army threatened the school with a set of punitive measures and for no reason.
The school is adjacent to the Israeli segregation barrier, and is a frequent target of assaults by the Israeli occupation forces.
