NABLUS, Wednesday, November 23, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers Wednesday morning attacked Palestinian vehicles at the outskirts of Huwara town, south of the occupied West Bank city of Nablus, according to a local activist.

Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors colonial settlement activities in the northern West Bank, said that a group of settlers congregated at the Salman al-Farsi turnaround and along the road connecting Huwara to the northern West Bank city of Qalqiliya, and hurled rocks at passing vehicles, causing damage to some of them, but no injuries.

He added that the settlers set tires on fire close to the secondary school of Burin town.

The settlers came from Yitzhar, a colonial settlement notorious for its hardcore religious community.

Settlers violence against Palestinians and their property is routine in the West Bank and is rarely prosecuted by Israeli authorities.

Settlers violence includes property and mosque arsons, stone-throwing, uprooting of crops and olive trees, attacks on vulnerable homes, among others.

There are over 700,000 Israeli settlers living in colonial settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
