Prisoners advocates: Israel detained 413 Palestinians in November, including 49 minors and 7 women

RAMALLAH, Saturday, December 12, 2020 (WAFA) – Israel detained 413 Palestinians during raids in the occupied territories, including 49 minors under the age of 18 and seven women, according to several Palestinian prisoners’ advocacy groups.

A joint statement published today by the Detainees and Ex-Detainees Commission, the Palestinian Prisoner Society, Addameer Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, and Wadi Hilweh Information Center –Silwan, said 157 of those detained by the Israeli occupation forces were from East Jerusalem, among them 30 minors and two women while 51 were from Isawiyya neighborhood.

In addition, the Israeli occupation forces detained 40 Palestinians from the Ramallah area, 74 from Hebron, 31 from Jenin, 33 from Bethlehem, 30 from Nablus, 18 from Tulkarm, 18 from Qalqilya, 3 from Jericho, 7 from Tubas, one from Salfit, and one from Gaza.

The statement said that the total number of Palestinian detainees in Israel until the end of November is 4400, including 41 women and 170 minors.

At the same time, there are 380 Palestinians held in administrative detention without charge of trial, including 102 orders issued in November among them 47 new orders and 55 extensions.
