RAMALLAH, May 13, 2012 (WAFA) – PLO Executive Committee said that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s response to President Mahmoud Abbas’ letter did not include any clear answers regarding central issues obstructing  the peace process, Sunday said a statement by the committee.  

The committee, during its meeting in Ramallah, said Netanyahu’s response to Abbas’ letter did not answer major issues, mainly freezing settlement activities especially in East Jerusalem, establishing a Palestinian state within 1967 borders and committing to release Palestinian prisoners.

The statement affirmed the committee’s support to Abbas’ position stressing the importance of solving the prisoners issue and ending their suffering by responding to their demands.
