TUNIS, April 29, 2012 (WAFA) - Presidential spokesman Nabil Abu Rudeineh Sunday condemned an Israeli decision to build temporary housing units in Kokhav Ya'acov settlement near Ramallah.
Abu Rudeineh told WAFA that the Israeli decision to carry on with the settlement activities refutes earlier statements by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on his desire to achieve peace.
Peace requires an immediate and a comprehensive halt of settlements, said Abu Rudeineh.
He urged the international community to make Israel halt all unilateral actions that hinder the peace process.
The Israeli cabinet unanimously approved earlier Sunday a proposal to establish temporary units to house settlers who are expected to be removed from another illegal West Bank settlement called Migron, near Ramallah, to allow for the evacuation of the post as ruled by the Israeli HIgh Court.
Israel will pay around $7 million for the expansion of Kokhav Ya'acov.
