GAZA, April 18, 2012 (WAFA) - Israeli soldiers stationed along the borders with the Gaza Strip Wednesday shot a Palestinian woman in the head while she was working in her land in Khazza’a, a town east of Khan Younis south of Gaza, according to local sources.
Witnesses said Israeli soldiers opened fire at local farmers in the border-adjacent area, injuring Rinad Qadeh, 25, in the head.
Qadeh was transferred to hospital for treatment and reported in moderate condition.
Israeli soldiers recently escalated their attacks against Palestinians in areas close to the borders, the last of which was shooting and injuring a Palestinian man in the foot in the same town on Tuesday.
