RAMALLAH, February 26, 2012 (WAFA) – The committee on restructuring the PLO, resulted from the reconciliation talks, agreed to raise the number of the members of the Palestinian Legislative Council from 132 to 150 members from the Palestinian Territory, Saturday said an official.
Chairman of the Palestinian National Council (PNC) Salim Zanoun told Voice of Palestine radio that Palestinian faction leaders also approved that the new PNC, the parliament-in-exile, will consist of 350 members – 150 from the Palestinian Territory and 200 from the Diaspora.
He said the 200 members from the Diaspora will be elected in countries that will allow holding PNC elections or will be agreed on in countries that will not allow elections.
