RAMALLAH, February 13, 2012 (WAFA) – Fatah Central Committee member Azzam al-Ahmad Monday said that Hamas had not yet released any political detainee held in its Gaza Strip jails.

He told a local radio station that the Freedom and Political Prisoners Committee established out of the reconciliation talks confirmed that while the Palestinian Authority had released a large number of prisoners held in West Bank jails, Hamas, on the other hand, had not reciprocated.

Ahmad, who heads Fatah's reconciliation talks with Hamas, said the committee will meet on February 23 to evaluate and asses the actual results of its efforts.
