RAMALLAH, January 30, 2012 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Monday said,” PLO executive committee meeting is very important, as we will discuss the outcome of the recent negotiations, including the Palestinian-Israeli exploratory meetings and the Palestinian options in the next phase before heading to the Arab league follow up committee meeting.”

During Palestine Liberation Organization executive committee meeting in the presidential head quarters in Ramallah, Abbas said,” we will also discuss in depth the holding of the national elections scheduled on May 4, which requires speeding up procedures concerning elections.”

He added that he will be meeting on Tuesday with the Central Elections Commission (CEC) to find out when the committee will finish its work and preparations then “we will start the presidential, legislative and national council elections.”
