ROME, December 1, 2011 (WAFA) - Italian President Giorgio Napolitano, Thursday, granted head of the Palestinian delegation in Italy, Commissioner General Sabri Attiyah, the ambassador status, according to a statement issued by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
It considered this granting as part of the Italian government’s procedures to upgrade the level of the Palestinian delegation in Italy.
Attiyah will submit his credentials to the Italian president as soon as possible.
