Israeli Authorities Prevent 30 Farmers from Entering their Land

JENIN, December 1, 2011 (WAFA) – The Israeli authorities, Thursday, prevented almost 30 Palestinian farmers in the village of Anin, west of the northern West Bank city of  Jenin, from entering their land located behind the Apartheid Wall, according to local sources.

 

Sources said that Israeli soldiers stationed at the Separation Wall Gate withdrew permits of almost 30 farmers, while on their way to harvest their olive crops.

 
The land owners called upon all human rights organizations and the relevant parties in the Palestinian Authority to intervene and pressure the Israeli authorities to allow farmers to pick their olives and to extend the permits time period since they are only given a limited period.
