Israeli Soldiers Attack Anti-Wall Protest in Beit Ummar

HEBRON, November 26, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers Saturday attacked the weekly non-violent protest against settlements and the Apartheid Wall in Beit Ummar, a town north of Hebron, according to a local activist.

Yousef Abu Maria, an activist in the local Popular Committee against the Wall, said Palestinian and international activists held the weekly protest against Israeli seizure of Beit Ummar land near Karmi Tzur settlement.

Israeli soldiers declared the area a closed military zone, prevented the protesters from reaching the land and when they approached it, the soldiers attacked them, added Abu Maria.
