RAMALLAH, November 24, 2011 (WAFA) - The overall Producer Price Index (PPI) in the Palestinian Territory with its base month (January 2011 = 100) reached 98.44 in October 2011, an increase by 0.13% compared to September 2011, Thursday said a report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

The PCBS said the Producer Price Index for exported products (January 2011 = 100) reached 101.37 in October 2011, an increase by 1.04% compared to September 2011.

PCBS traced the changes in PPI for October to changes in prices of several major activities compared to the previous month, including a decrease in agriculture goods by 1.18%, fishing by 3.19%, mining and quarrying by 0.73%, and in manufacturing by 0.39%, concluded the report.
