JERUSALEM, November 15, 2011 (WAFA) – A group of Jewish settlers Tuesday wrote graffiti on a Palestinian apartment in West Jerusalem in an apparent “price tag” attack following vandalism of the residence, Tuesday said Israeli security sources.
Israeli police said it apprehended two suspects who confessed to the graffiti and vandalism charges.
The Palestinian family evicted the apartment earlier, following escalated death threats and assaults by Jewish extremists.
Jewish settlers launched the “price tag” campaign in 2010 in retaliation to the Israeli government’s decision to freeze some illegal settlement building in the West Bank. Whenever settlement building is restricted in one area, settlers constantly threaten and attack Palestinians and their properties.
