RAMALLAH, November 3, 2011 (WAFA) – The Industrial Production Index (IPI) for September 2011 in the Palestinian Territory showed an increase by 2.8% compared to the previous month, August 2011, Thursday said a report by the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics.
The overall quantity of Industrial Production Index (IPI) in the Palestinian Territory reached 104.2 in September 2011 compared to the base month (January 2011=100).
The changes in the Quantity of Industrial Production Index for September 2011 are traced to changes in the quantity of the following main activities compared to the previous month: mining and quarrying increased by 37.9%, manufacturing decreased by 0.1%, and water supply & electricity increased by 7.7%.
