CAIRO, October 18, 2011 (WAFA) – Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil el-Araby, Tuesday called on Israel, in an interview with WAFA, to adhere to the international resolutions, mainly those including releasing all Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails.
El-Araby called on the international community not to forget the Palestinian prisoners’ hard and inhumane situation now that the Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit is free, noting that some of them spent over 30 years in jail.
“The Arab League supports any prisoners’ exchange, and calls to unconditionally release all Arab and Palestinian prisoners; men, women, children and the elderly,” he added.
