Courts Reject Appeals against Released Prisoners

TEL AVIV, October 17, 2011 (WAFA) – An Israeli Magistrate court rejected on Monday an appeal to stop deportation against three Palestinian prisoners included in the prisoners exchange deal between Hamas and Israel, said Israeli reports.

Itamar Mandel, who filed the appeal against Musa Wazwaz, Mohammed Joulani and Shakib Awani, demanded that they should pay him 1.5 million Israeli shekels in compensation after being convicted of killing his daughter in a military operation.

In a related context, the Israeli High Court examined appeals by Israeli families against prisoners slated to be released on Tuesday demanding that they should stay in jail.

One of the appellants whose parents were killed in a suicide attack said that he will take his revenge against the prisoners and will make them pay.
