CAIRO, October 10, 2011 (WAFA) – Palestine Monday requested the General Secretariat of the Arab League to hold an urgent meeting to discuss the Israeli escalations against Palestinian prisoners in Israeli prisons.
Palestine representative in the Arab League delivered a memo in which Palestine urged the league to discuss the Palestinian prisoners’ conditions in Israeli prisons, in light of the vicious measures practiced against them.
This request comes as part of Arab efforts to give international and regional support to Palestinian prisoners, who have been on hunger strike for 13 days in a row.
An Arab diplomat expected the meeting to be held next week.
