PARIS, October 5, 2011 (WAFA) - The United States called on all UNESCO’s member states to reject the recommendation of the Executive Board to grant Palestine full membership in UNESCO, Wednesday said US ambassador to UNESCO, David Killion.
The executive board of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization has recommended Wednesday to grant Palestine full membership in UNESCO.
Forty of the 58 countries on the executive board voted in favor of the recommendation, which was proposed by the Arab group in the UN organization.
