STRASBOURG, October 5, 2011 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas met Wednesday with European Union foreign policy chief, Catherine Ashton, in Strasburg, seat of the European Parliament, according to official sources.
They discussed the latest developments, especially the Palestinian UN bid.
Abbas is scheduled to address the European Parliament on Thursday.
His trip will also take him to the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and France to rally support for Palestinian efforts to win full membership in the UN.
