BRUSSELS, September 25, 2011 (WAFA) – The Party of Socialists group (PS) at the Belgian Senate announced its support of the Palestinian bid to gain the United Nations recognition of a sovereign Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders, Sunday said a press release by the PS.

 It said that the resolution adopted by the Belgian senate in July based on a PS group initiative, which called on the Belgian government to recognize Palestine as an independent state based on 1967 borders. 

PS group announced its support of any initiative that favors dialogue, negotiations and peace in the Middle East as part of the coexistence between Palestinians and Israelis and their two states.
