Israeli Soldiers Demolish House, Spare Car Parts Shop in Beit Ummar

HEBRON, September 13, 2011 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers demolished on Tuesday a house under construction and a spare car parts shop, in Beit Ummar, a town north of Hebron.

Spokesman of the National Committee against the Wall and settlement in Beit Ummar, Mohammed Awad, said that Israeli bulldozers, under the protection of Israeli soldiers, demolished the house of Palestinian resident, Issa Ikhleil. The building, which is under construction, lies on Hebron-Jerusalem Street and was established 16 years ago.

Israeli soldiers stopped the construction of the house since then, in spite of the fact that it has a permit.

Israeli soldiers demolished a shop for spare car parts on the same street and raised the land used for the cars, its retaining wall and a fence around the land, and destroyed the cars at the shop, although it’s all legal.

Not disconnecting the electricity power supply caused the fire to erupt at the shop, causing major loss.

Israeli soldiers handed a demolition notice to Palestinian resident Majed Abu Maryeh, in the east of Beit Ummar, and removed the Palestinian street vendors’ stalls.
