RAMALLAH, September 11, 2011 (WAFA) - Bolivarian Alliance for the Americas (ALBA) Sunday stressed its support to the Palestinian bid to gain full United Nations membership of the state of Palestine within the 1967 borders and with East Jerusalem as its capital

In a press release ALBA also said it will vote in favor of the Palestinian request at the Security Council later this month.

ALBA, during foreign ministers meeting in the Venezuelan capital Karakas, criticized US threats to veto the Palestinian request to UN Security Council, indicating that US stance contradicts President Barack Obama’s speech last September on his wish to see a Palestinian state member in UN in September.

ALBA alliance consists of Antigua and Barbuda, Bolivia, Cuba, Dominica, Ecuador, Nicaragua, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Venezuela.
