WELLINGTON, September 7, 2011 (WAFA) – United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon warned on Wednesday of the risks which face Palestinians by going to the Security Council to obtain Palestine’s full membership in the UN.

In a meeting with Foreign Minister Riyad Malki in New Zealand, Ban stressed his support for establishing a Palestinian state.

However, he advised the Palestinians to make use of the General Assembly’s possibilities to achieve Palestine’s goal through membership that would allow it to join all UN bodies and organizations.
