RAMALLAH, September 7, 2011 (WAFA) – A number of Palestinians demonstrated at Manara Square in the center of Ramallah Wednesday in protest against United States pressure on the Palestinian Authority to foil its bid to get United Nations recognition.
The demonstration coincided with a visit by US peace envoy, David Hale, to Ramallah for a meeting with President Mahmoud Abbas to discuss the UN bid.
The protesters, organized by the Palestinian People’s Party, held slogans that express their resentment of the US pressure.
