QALQILYA, September 6, 2011 (WAFA) – A 7-year-old child declared missing on Monday in the northern West Bank city of Qalqilia was found dead a day later, Tuesday said the Palestinian police.

They said the body of Mohammad Abu Zabin, who has been missing since Monday night, was found in an agricultural land north of Qalqilia.

Police accompanied by a forensic doctor immediately headed to the scene following reports of a body found there where they sealed the area and began searching it for clues. Police said they opened an investigation into the incident.

The child’s body was transferred to the forensic medicine institute for an autopsy to determine the causes and circumstances of his death, said the police report.
