RAMALLAH, September 4, 2011 (WAFA) – PLO Executive Committee Sunday affirmed the illegitimacy of Palmer report, considering it a clear violation of international laws, directly breaching its resolutions, which affirmed the illegitimacy of the occupation, particularly the land and sea blockade imposed on Gaza.
In a press release, it said that considering the blockade on Gaza a ‘legitimate security measure’ constitutes a crime under international law, particularly when every United Nation (UN’s) organizations working in Gaza affirms the ugliness of the Israeli blockade and holds Israel accountable for the humanitarian catastrophe that is affecting 1.5 million Palestinian.
The committee stressed that it will, in coordination with all parties including the Turkish Government, continue with its diplomatic and political efforts in order to lift the Israeli blockade, which violates all international laws, in order to prosecute Israel before international court, which affirmed the invalidity of all the Israeli measures against the Palestinian people.
