RAMALLAH, August 31, 2011 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas performed the prayer of Eid al-Fitr, the Islamic holiday marking the end of Ramadan, the holy month of fasting for Muslims, in his headquarters mosque in Ramallah on Tuesday.
Abbas congratulated the Palestinians on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr and placed a wreath at the tomb of the late President Yasser Arafat in Ramallah.
Prime Minister Salam Fayyad and a number of Palestinian officials also performed the prayer, where the sermon reiterated the importance of Palestinian reconciliation and its significant role in establishing a Palestinian state within 1967 borders and
