RAMALLAH, August 24, 2011 (WAFA) – Foreign Affairs Minister, Riyad Al-Maliki, started Wednesday a tour in the African continent to mobilize support for the September Bid and to urge the African countries to vote in favor of a Palestinian state at the United Nations (UN), in a statement by the foreign minister.
The statement said that al-Maliki will meet on Thursday with President of Gabon, Ali Ondimba, as the first step of his tour, and that he will hold a number of “on the side meetings” to mobilize support for the Palestinian move.
Al-Maliki is accompanied by the Palestinian ambassadors to Africa.
