RAMALLAH, July 11, 2011 (WAFA) - Palestine News and Information Agency (WAFA) monitored incitement and racism against the Palestinians and Arabs published by the Israeli media between June 22 and July 1.
M. Shalom wrote an article in ‘Hamodia” religious newspaper, calling to aggravate the conditions of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli jails and take practical measures to release the imprisoned Israeli soldier, Gilaad Shalit.
Shalom alleged that Hamas prisoners in Israeli jails can receive visits and persue academic education, while Shalit isn’t allowed to receive a visit by the Red Cross. He incited, saying “whenever Hamas breaks the international law, Israel is allowed to breach the same law.”
NFC website published an inciting article by Dudu Elhara, in which he legalized killing the Palestinians who stole and occupied the land of Israel.
“These Arabs decided at some point to call themselves ‘Palestinians’, but they are not a nation, and this land has never been a Palestinian home. There’s a Jewish nation and a Jewish stolen home. Israel belongs to the Jewish people who had to give away the land of Jordan, and that’s enough!” Elhara said.
He added, “Everything is allowed in a fair struggle against the occupier, even terrorism. There is legal terrorism, inevitable violence and obligatory killing; in this case, the occupiers are the Palestinians.”
NFC website also published an article by Yehuda Drori, in which he rejected legal counseling that, considers Hamas prisoners as prisoners of war.
Drori, who once suggested to the prime minister to put Hamas prisoners under the same conditions Shalit is in, questioned the rights of Hamas prisoners, saying “even in the international law, terrorists have no right! (Look how the Americans run Guanatanmo and there’s no one to object, except for some left-winged organizations that support Islamic terrorism.)
Eric Bender published an article on Israeli newspaper Maariv’s website, NRG, in which he included statements by right-winged Knesset members on how to deal with Hamas in order to release Shalit.
Bender quoted Knesset members from the National Union party who criticized the pressures on the Israeli government to release hundreds of Palestinian murderers in exchange of Shalit. The members incited against “sweet-talking” with terrorists, and said that the Israelis should talk the language of weapons. Releasing Gilad Shalit at the price Hamas is demanding will pave the way for more soldiers abductions.
Haim Misgav, lecturer at Faculty of Law at the University of Netanya, published an article on Ynetnews website, in response to the Law Faculty at Haifa University’s recent decision not to play the national Israeli anthem at the graduation ceremony.
Misgav criticized the university administration, saying “I don’t know whose deformed idea this was, but they went crazy in Haifa; they want to take considerations of the Arab students in the university!”
“Arabs are like the European anti-Semitics; they do whatever they can to destroy the state of Israel. The Arab citizens of Israel are dismembering the state from the inside by exploiting our freedom of speech and the other basic rights,” he added.
Misgav incited against the Arabs living in Israel, saying “Arabs are entitled to civilian rights, but not national ones. We can’t disregard the national symbols of the Jewish state.”
Dror Yemini called on the Israeli government to do whatever possible to release Shalit, after five years in prison, except for releasing Palestinian prisoners, in an article published on NRG website.
“If the price to release Shalit is to release ‘murderous terrorists’, thus enhancing terrorism as well as paving the way to kill innocent Israelis and abduct more soldiers, this deal is not acceptable,” said Yemini.
Moshe Hasdai wrote anti-Muslims inciting article on NFC website, in which he claimed that Islamic demands are always accompanied by illegal actions, starting with minor crimes and random violence to riots. He called these actions an “Islamic Intifada,” and called the Muslims as “colonizers.”
Hasadi quoted Samuel P. Huntington’s famous statements “Islam has bloody borders,” and said “Israel is on the other side of these borders. This little state is living on Jihad borders and is thwarting the spread of Islam.”
Dan Margalit wrote an article in “Israel Today” newspaper, praising the British authorities’ arrest of Sheikh Raed Salah, head of the Islamic movement in Israel.
Margalit called Raed Salah “the symbol of evil; misleading and liar” and a public activist who instigates against Israel everywhere, as well as generates violence whenever he can.
Eyal Geffen, an Israeli actor and writer, called to allow Palestinian prisoners, whom he called “dogs”, to carry out their hunger strike till they die, in a racist, instigating article published on NRG website.
“They promised themselves of death, and for me, let it be as soon as possible. I’m saying it without a prick of conscience. Enough! It’s time to stop trembling every time those dogs go on hunger strike, speak out loud, or show taped scenes of being battered,” Geffen added.
