RAMALLAH, April 1, 2011 (WAFA) - The overall Construction Cost Index (CCI) reached 111.51 with a decrease of 0.03%, for the month of February compared with January, Thursday said the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).

At the same time, overall Road Cost Index (RCI) reached 109.31 with an increase of 0.26%; overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) reached 105.55 with an increase of 0.16%; and the overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) reached 103.01 with an increase of 0.18% in the West Bank during February 2011 compared with January 2011.

The decrease in the CCI is traced to changes in the costs iron and steel, which went down by 0.88%, quarries and quarrying products, down by 0.44%, and tiles and panels from ceramic also wend down by 0.30%.

However, cutting and shaping stones increased by 0.41%, equipment and electrical networking went up by 0.40%, cement, lime and gypsum up by 0.18%, ceramic products up by 0.17%, and cement products also increased by 0.10%.
