JERUSALEM, March 30, 2011 (WAFA) – A suspicious package received by the US Consulate General in Jerusalem has forced it to shut down for business on Thursday, according to a consulate press release.
It said that the Consulate General’s Consular Section in Jerusalem “will be closed for business on Thursday, March 31, due to a suspicious package received at that location.”
It did not giver any more details, but said that visa applicants with scheduled appointments for that day have been rescheduled, said the statement.
