RAMALLAH, March 30, 2011 (WAFA) - Prime Minister, Salam Fayyad, Wednesday said, “land remains the core of the Palestinian cause, and the reason for our existence and future, We are here since the very beginning and we are certainly staying till the very end”.
This came during Fayyad’s weekly radio talk; which he dedicated to the 35th anniversary of Land day, which coincides on March 30.
Fayyad said that Land Day resembles Palestinians’ long struggle against the Israeli policies; uprooting, displacement, land seizure, settlement activities and demolishing houses, in addition to their devotion and determination to protect their land which is totally their right.
He emphasized that the Palestinians' successful, peaceful, popular resistance of the Separation Wall and Settlements, made the world reconsider the Palestinian cause and moved us forward towards ending the occupation and establishing our independent state.
He added that the Palestinian Authority’s duty is to provide all forms of support to our people in order to strengthen their steadfastness.
