GAZA, March 29, 2011 (WAFA) - (PLO) Palestine Liberation Organization’s factions in Gaza Tuesday rejected justifications and excuses that may be invoked to delay or disrupt the visit of the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas by which Hamas aims to foil Abbas’s initiative; to end the internal division and forming a national unity government.
This came during a meeting of five Palestinian factions in Gaza City today which included Palestinian Democratic Union (Fida), Arab Liberation Front (ALF), the Palestine Liberation Front (PLF), the Palestinian Arab Front (PAF) and the Palestinian Popular Struggle Front (PPSF) in which they discussed the latest developments and the internal situation in the Palestinian arena.
The factions called on, in a press release, to take this chance to achieve national reconciliation, make Abbas’s’s initiative to Gaza a success and form a national unity government which will prepare for new legislate, presidential and national council elections.
They confirmed their stance in supporting youth demanding an end of the internal division.
Factions also condemned abusing youth who protested in Gaza demanding an end of the Palestinian division, and demanded an immediate release of the ones who were detained.
