BEIRUT, March 29, 2011 (WAFA)- Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, Tuesday carried out a sit –in in front of the building of United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) against its services’ reduction and demanding for improving its work.

The secretary of the Palestinian Popular committees in Lebanon, Mine’m Awad, handed the Director of UNRWA Affairs, Salvatore Lombardo, a memorandum during the sit-in.

Lombardo, stressed on the UNRWA’s  support for the Palestinian refugees’ demands, thus he called on donor countries to increase their financial support in order to cover all the needs of the Palestinian refugees in the Diaspora.

The sit-in was organized  by the Palestinian Popular committees and unions.
