HEBRON, March 28, 2011 (WAFA)- Palestinian Prisoner’s Club (PPC) Monday held Israeli administration of Ramon jail responsible for prisoner, Ibrahim Naji’s life who was arrested for more than 30 years.
According to the prisoner’s family, Naji complained of pain in the heart and was transferred to Ramlah prison’s hospital where the nurse gave him an unknown pill (medicine), causing his condition to deteriorate.
The club blamed the prison’s administration for not providing appropriate medical treatment for prisoners which caused the death of dozens of them.
The club said that Israeli companies, through the administration, give prisoners such pills to conduct tests on them.
It called on the fact finding committee, formed by the European Parliament, to check the prisoners’ conditions in Israeli prisons.
