JENIN, March 28, 2011 (WAFA) – The family of Palestinian prisoner Qasim Taleb, student at Al-Quds Open University, Sunday called upon humanitarian and human rights organizations, as well as the Association of Israeli and Palestinian Physicians for Human Rights to work on saving Taleb’s life.
Taleb’s family told WAFA that he was subjected to psychological and physical torture and suffers from a deteriorating health condition with acute stomach inflammation, arthritis, chronic headaches, dizziness and weakness as a result of low weight.
Taleb has been in the investigation section of Petah Tikva detention center since more than a month, where the Israeli prison administration does not allow anyone to visit him and refuses to treat him.
Taleb’s family holds the Israeli occupation fully responsible for his life.
