RAMALLAH, March 27, 2011 (WAFA)- The Prisoner’s Club (PPS), Sunday evening reported that the prisoners of Nafha, Rimon, Eichel, Ashkelon and some wings of Naqab (Negev) prison decided to begin a protesting strike against the Israeli humiliating measures.
The Israeli used measures are based on humiliating inspection to prisoners’ families, the policy of solitary confinement and the unresponsiveness of the Prison Service’s administration to their demands.
The PPS, in its statement considered what happens in prisons is unacceptable according to the International law and norm, indicating at the same time, that all the received reports confirm the bad conditions in prisons regarding the high rates of chronic diseases’ cases which prisoners suffer from.
