JERUSALEM, March 21, 2011 (WAFA) - Al Aqsa Mosque guards Sunday foiled the attempt of an armed Jewish extremist to break into the mosque through the Bab El-Magharbeh (Dung) Gate, to which Israel holds the keys since the 1967 occupation.
A Jewish extremist crossed the Magharbeh bridge, which links the gate with the Western Wall, and tried to climb the wall surrounding the mosque and enter it before being prevented by a guard.
According to the guard, Israeli police arrived and arrested the extremist but it soon claimed that he was drunk.
