RAMALLAH, March 20, 2011 (WAFA) - Secretary General of the Presidency, Tayeb Abdul Rahim, Sunday met with the Arab youth Media Forum in the presidential headquarters, in Ramallah, who included journalists from: Jordan, Tunisia, Iraq and Palestine.
Abdul Rahim Abdul gave the delegation a detailed explanation on the developments in the Palestinian situation, as well as contacts made by President Mahmoud abbas, with the quartet on its next meeting, especially as he is now in an official visit to Russia, which is a member of the Quartet.
He said that the fulfillment of establishing a Palestinian state based on President Obama’s promise and the Quartet’s stance which marks in September; the time we finish building the Palestinian institutions of a future Palestinian state.
He emphasized the Palestinian constant and clear stance towards settlements, negotiations, and the independent Palestinian state’s borders, stressing the absolute Palestinian rejection of what is promoted by Israel of the draft state with temporary borders.
He also said that the President's initiative to visit the Gaza Strip, has only one purpose which is the unification of Gaza and the West Bank and the formation of an independent national government in order to prepare for presidential and legislative elections during the next six months, adding: “We hope that the historical visit be done”.
Abdul Rahim welcomed the Arab youth everywhere who demands freedom and democracy, and the youth in Palestine, who calls for an end to division and occupation, emphasizing the Palestinian leadership's stance in supporting their demands.
The meeting was attended to by the Secretary-General of the Presidency, Dr. Hussein Al President Office of the President, where they sign a letter submitted by the PalestineYouth Media Forum Arabs marked the launching of the Palestine Media message from Palestine to the Arab world as a whole.
Hussein al-Araj, head of the President’s office also attended the meeting along with Tayeb Abdul Rahim, where they both signed the (Palestine letter) submitted by Arab youth Media Forum which announces the launching of (Palestine Media letter) from Palestine to the whole Arab world.
