CAIRO, March 13, 2011 (WAFA) - Qais Azzawi, Iraqi’ Ambassador to the League of Arab States Sunday announced that Foreign Arab Ministers agreed on an Iraqi proposal of setting May 11th as the date of the Ordinary Arab Summit.
He added that Iraq is finishing up all preparations for the 23rd summit as representatives from the Arab league were invited to Iraq to check technical and logistic readiness as well as the agenda to be discussed during the summit
No Arab Summits were held in Iraq since 1990 due to political and economic siege imposed on it.
