SALFIT, March 13, 2011 (WAFA) - Israeli army Sunday raided the town of Deir Estia, east of Salfit in the northern West Bank.

Soldiers raided the town in the morning and photographed houses and several organizations in the town, local sources told WAFA.

 Sources also said soldiers tried to break into a mosque west of the town but residents stood up to them and prevented them from entering.

 Soldiers were based around the town’s school and kindergarten which caused fear among students.

 Witnesses from Deir Estia and the town of Hares, north of Salfit told WAFA that settlers attacked vehicles passing near Rafafa, a settlement built on the land of the two towns.
