NABLUS, March 13, 2011 (WAFA) – Hundreds of Jewish settlers Sunday closed down the Nablus-Qalqilya road in the West Bank and the road connecting Nablus with its southwest villages, following the killing of five settlers in Itamar settlement southeast of Nablus.
Local sources said hundreds of armed settlers from Qarne Shomron and Qedumim settlements west of Nablus Sunday closed the main road between Nablus and Qalqilya, and threw stones at Palestinian vehicles near Kafr Qaddum village near Qedumim.
Settlers from Yitzhr settlement just off Route 60 closed the road leading to Jit, Immatin and al-Funduq, villages southwest of Nablus, the sources added on Sunday.
Israeli soldiers closed down the entrance of Odala, a village south of Nablus, and put up a checkpoint for vehicles and passengers, stopping people from passing, according to eyewitnesses.
