RAMALLAH, March12, 2011 (WAFA) – President Mahmoud Abbas Saturday sent a cable of support and condolences to Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan Due following the earthquake that hit parts of Japan.
“We followed with great concern news of the earthquake and the devastating cyclone that struck parts of your country,” said Abbas. “On behalf of the Palestinian people and leadership, and from me, we offer you and through you to your people and your government my warmest heartfelt condolences and sincere sympathy.”
Abbas expressed his and the Palestinian people’s solidarity with the people and government of Japan, praying to God they will overcome this ordeal to restore what was destroyed.
