Electronic Information Database in Palestine

 
 RAMALLAH, March 10, 2011 (WAFA)- Ministry of Planning and Administrative Development last Tuesday completed the first phase of building the database DARP, Which will limit and analyse information on international support for the Palestinian authority and ensure success of development planning, budgeting, and the process of managing and coordinating international aid.

 
 
According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Planning, DARP contributes in the process of identifying and updating development priorities through ensuring that there is no conflicts or repeating of support, fair Distribution to various sectors, promoting knowledge of the international aid to Palestine in general,and aspects of management and mechanisms used in the allocation and disbursement according to national priorities.
 
 
'DARP' Database  gives the responsibility to enter aid information to representations of the donor countries, due to their complete knowledge about the size of donations, expenditure and its areas, where a specialized team at the Ministry of Planning and Administrative Development on daily basis follows-up on the entry, reviews and makes sure it is correct to approve it, in addition to coordinating and following-up with all relevant national institutions to compare the information entered by the donors with the information available to them.
 
 
The system is available to everyone and is easy to use by individuals and agencies interested in receiving information.
 
 At a  later stage, after the completion of building the data system, it will be linked to national plans and budgets as well as monitoring and evaluating operations So that it is possible to obtain reports on international support to all responsible and interested parties in a short period of time.
 

The ministry will continue to make efforts to complete the entries of all ongoing projects and hopes to complete it during the first quarter of this year. Interested parties then can issue the necessary reports to the ministries and institutions concerned with the utmost accuracy and credibility.
