Irish Reporter Tries to Arrest Lieberman

LONDON, February 24, 2011 (WAFA) -Irish reporter, David Cronin, tried this week to arrest Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor  Lieberman using his “citizen’s arrest” right, when the latter was at a press conference in Brussels, according to the British newspaper, the Guardian.

It said that Cronin approached Lieberman while he was leaving a meeting with European Union ministers, and said “Mr. Lieberman, this is a citizen’s arrest. You are accused of hate crimes. Please come with me to the police station.”

However, security agents tackled Cronin David and threw him out, as he was shouting “Free Palestine!,”

This was not the first time Cronin tries to use the citizen’s arrest. Last year, Cronin attempted to arrest former British Prime Minister Tony Blair for what he said were crimes against the people of Iraq.
