RAMALLAH, February 24, 2011 (WAFA) – The Israeli intelligence has permanently banned family visits to political prisoner Ahed Abu Ghulmeh, Thursday said the Palestinian Prisoners Club.
The intelligence informed Abu Ghulmeh that it will not revoke its decision, according to Yousef Mattia, a Club lawyer.
The last visit to Abu Ghulmeh was in September 2009 by his wife and children, after which he was isolated and prohibited from visits. The prohibition was renewed every six months.
Abu Ghulmeh was arrested on March 14, 2006 and sentenced to life plus five years. He was put in isolation since January 14, 2010 after a decision by Israeli intelligence and no reasons were given for this, except that they have a secret file on him and he is a security threat to Israel.
