RAMALLAH, Febuaray22, 2011 (WAFA) – Ministry of Prisoners Affairs said Tuesday that Somoud Yasir, from the village of Safa, Ramallah area, was attacked for the second time in a row by a female Israeli soldier in the courtroom where she was brought to appear in front of the judge.

Yasir told a lawyer for the ministry that one of the soldiers working in the court verbally attacked her using foul language and that the incident happened in front of lawyers and judges at court.

She said the female soldier cursed her again at the end of the court hearing and turned off her cigarette in Yasir’s hand while handcuffing her.

Yasir, who was arrested on October 25, 2009,  filed a complaint against the soldier, and said she considers not appearing in court again if she will be mistreated. The court set her next appearance to March 28.

 She has been deprived of family visits since her arrest on security charges.
