Israel Arrests Palestinians in Bethlehem, Hebron

BETHLEHM, February 21, 2011 (WAFA) - Israeli forces Monday arrested three Palestinians from Battir, a village west of Bethlehem, while they were in Jerusalem, according to security sources.

The three workers were arrested on the ground they did not have permits to enter Jerusalem, claimed Israeli forces.

In the meantime, soldiers set several checkpoints in Hebron and arrested two Palestinians from Yatta, a town east of Hebron, said security sources.

They arrested Mohammad Abu Subha who was near his house and Mohammad Abu Obeid after raiding his house and tampering with its contents. Both were taken to an unknown location.

Soldiers also raided some neighborhoods in Hebron, stopped and checked Palestinians’ cars and checked their identity papers.
