RAMALLAH, February 17, 2011 (WAFA) - Palestinians from various political groups gathered on Thursday in Al Manara Square in Ramallah for a march under the logo of ‘People want to end the division’.

Hundreds of Palestinians including youth and independent political figures participated in the public march in Ramallah, raising Palestinian flags and slogans calling for making national interests our priority, starting dialogue, supporting self-determination, starting the new democratic elections and ending the division in the Palestinian arena.

A participant from the Palestinian National Initiative told WAFA that our main goal is to end division because it is the key towards ending Israeli occupation.

“Fatah is completely ready to bypass the Egyptian paper to reach a reconciliation with Hamas”, said Azzam Al Ahmad, head of Fatah Parliamentary Bloc.

A group of youth announced February 20-27 as the week for ending division and they distributed program of activates calling for that aim.
